Web-enabled storage provider InSiteOne has released a storage area network that addresses both digital images and enterprise-wide data storage. The new SAN will be built on a foundation of the HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA) as part of InSiteOne's InDex DICOM product line. The SAN enhances the company's InDex Nearline, which enables onsite storage for recent studies, typically for 12 months or more, as well as additional hospital and medical data. Images are stored onsite as acquired, currently on RAID proxy servers. The new SAN provides another option. A copy of the image is automatically sent to InSiteOne's mirrored data centers in Arizona and Connecticut for permanent storage and disaster recovery.
