Boca Raton Community Hospital in Boca Raton, FL, has begun operating six Kodak computed radiography systems as part of a hospital-wide conversion to digital imaging. Two Kodak DirectView CR 950 systems have been installed in the general radiology department and one near its two emergency exam rooms, along with a Kodak CR 850 system in the operating room. One of each type of CR system has been installed in the hospital's outpatient imaging center. The CR 850 reads up to 91 single-plate 14 x 17-inch cassettes per hour. The multicassette CR 950 offers "drop and go" workflow by managing 16 cassettes simultaneously.
