Ultrasound developer Kontron Instruments has won a huge contractto supply 657 ultrasound scanners to Russia in a deal worth about$18.2 million. The order is the latest of several recent big salesKontron has made in Russia, according to the firm, which is basedin Montigny le Bretonneux, France.
Most of the scanners are a recently released Kontron model,Sigma 210, and are designed primarily for ob/gyn and radiologyapplications. The scanners will be placed in ob/gyn and internal-medicinefacilities throughout Russia, the company said.
