Imaging Diagnostic Systems has installed its CT laser mammography system in one of Mexico’s top cancer institutions, the Instituto Nacional de Cancerologia. Investigators there will gather clinical data to support the company’s FDA premarket approval application, facilitate the clinical atlas, and serve as a promotional site for future sales prospects. The company has already received CE marking, UL listing, and ISO 9002 certification, which have paved the way for sales of the laser system in countries outside the U.S. The system creates 3-D cross-sectional images of the breast using laser technology and proprietary algorithms.
