Former imaging services firmMedAlliance of Brentwood, TN, is close to completing its planfor self-liquidation. The company announced last month that itwill sell its physician ancillary site business to National MedicalCare for $16.2 million plus the assumption of liabilities.

The physician ancillary site business provides the equipment,technologists and billing for medical imaging services at over200 sites, primarily in the Northeast.

MedAlliance, formerly known as ImageAmerica, recently completedthe sale of 15 imaging centers to Health Images of Atlanta (SCAN4/16/94 and 1/18/95). Earlier last month, MedAlliance agreed tosell its 70% interest in a partnership that owns a Little Rock,AR, imaging center for $12.5 million.

The sales complete the disposition of all the operating assetsof MedAlliance, according to the company. A special shareholdersmeeting has been scheduled to approve a proposal to distributeproceeds from the three sales and for winding up the company'sbusiness.
