Merge Technologies has introduced MergeDPM, a DICOM protocol monitor that allows field service engineers to monitor DICOM communications between different devices from their laptops. The initial offering in Merge's DICOM Protocol Analyzer product family, MergeDPM, is designed to run on the Windows 95/NT platform. The company has a backlog of orders for MergeDPM from Philips Medical Systems and GE Medical Systems, according to Milwaukee-based Merge.
