A recent reorganization of its sales staff helped Merge Technologies increase its revenues 29% in the first quarter (end-March), the Milwaukee company reported last month. For the period, Merge recorded sales of $3.4 million, compared with $2.6 million in the same period the year before. The company had net income for the most recent quarter of $116,000, compared with a net loss of $57,000 in the same period of the previous year. Merge said its sales reorganization improved productivity by changing the way it approaches its two main business segments, OEMs and end users.
