CTI Molecular Imaging subsidiary PETNET Solutions is partnering with Johns Hopkins Healthcare to manage production and distribution of clinical PET radiopharmaceuticals produced at the existing Hopkins PET cyclotron production facility. The agreement calls for PETNET to manage the production facility and supply PET isotopes to the surrounding market, as well as help support some of Hopkins' PET clinical and research programs.
PETNET has also agreed to collaborate with the Yerkes National Primate Research Center of Emory University in the research and development of new PET molecular probes. The two will operate a preclinical research site at Yerkes' new neuroscience building, scheduled to open this fall. PETNET also plans to establish a production facility at Yerkes to supply PET isotopes for clinical and research needs, including those at the center.
