Sales of Polaroid's Helios dry-process laser printer should get

a boost from a large contract that the Newton, MA, vendor has

received from the Department of Defense, which allows DOD facilities

to buy Helios printers directly from Polaroid rather than through

an OEM. The one-year contract covers both the Helios 810 and Helios

1417 systems and can be extended up to a total of five years.

Polaroid estimated the value of the contract to be between $5

million and $6 million.
