Poll of the Week: How do you feel about prior authorization for imaging services?

In a recent blog post, the head of a specialty benefits management company makes a case for prior authorization, saying it ensures patients receive the appropriate tests, and physicians are reimbursed only for medically necessary services.

However, advocates of computerized decision support, the alternative to prior authorzation, disagree, saying that approach is less clinician-friendly.
