NextMed Systems has purchased Presideo's biometric authentication and suite of Internet trust services to integrate into its Physician Desktop Manager portal and ASP offerings. Presideo's security will enable NextMed to use fingerprint recognition as a first stage security identifier for users seeking access to confidential information. After the initial biometric identification, authorized users will have access to multiple applications throughout NextMed's hosted services.
