RealTimeImage and InSiteOne announced at the RSNA meeting that they have joined forces to introduce InDex Web, a real-time secure Web-based solution that enables access to images stored in InSiteOne's archive system.
Using RealTimeImage's iPACS Web-based image streaming capability, InDex Web enables 24-hour secure access to images archived at InSiteOne's permanent data storage centers, via Internet or network connections. Images are accessible in real-time in increasing levels of resolution to speed transfer over any bandwidth.
"Radiologists, referring physicians, and other clinicians anywhere can have immediate access to images stored in InSiteOne archives," said Jim Champagne, senior vice president of InSiteOne.
InDex Web will use RealTimeImage's pixels-on-demand technology to allow authorized users immediate access to quality images. The companies claim that the solution provides one of the fastest image distribution and workflow solutions available.
In developing the new offering, Zohar Elhanani, vice president of medical imaging for RealTimeImage, has made good on his pre-RSNA pledge to introduce Web-based solutions that include sophisticated storage management capabilities.
