Los Altos, CA-based ScImage, a provider of PACS and IT solutions, has cut an agreement to install its PICOM system at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View, CA. The deal includes long-term storage of both cardiology and radiology images and information using ScImage's archive and telemedicine portal, PICOMOnline. The goal of the installation is to provide to both the cardiology and radiology departments seamless access to multimodality images and information inside and outside the hospital. Earlier this month, ScImage introduced NetraMD, a virtual colonoscopy tool that supports simultaneous volumetric and endoscopic flythrough exploration of prone and supine acquisitions on the same screen.
