Toshiba America Medical Systems of Tustin, CA, has looked withinto fill a key post at its MRI headquarters in South San Francisco,CA.

Steve Sickels was appointed director of Toshiba's MR businessoperations last week. Sickels has served as manager of Toshiba'snuclear medicine unit in Tustin since 1992. His duties in nuclearmedicine have been assigned to John Zimmer, who will also continueas CT business unit director.

The MR business director post had been open since April whenWilliam Carrano was hired by ultrasound vendor Acuson of MountainView, CA, as its director of marketing.

In related news, Toshiba also promoted Catherine Eilts to corporatemarketing and public relations manager.
