The radiation therapy business of MRC Systems is now part of Siemens Medical. The business was established in 1995 as a spinoff of the University of Heidelberg and the DKFZ (German Cancer Research Center) in Heidelberg, one of Siemens' leading scientific collaborators. MRC technologies include KonRad Radiation Treatment Planning software and ModuLeaf Multileaf Collimation technology. Siemens executives view the products as key elements to enhance the company's oncology workflow solutions.
