Providing 25 features to facilitate optimal workflow and user effectiveness, the portable Acuson Maple ultrasound can reportedly be utilized in a variety of clinical settings.
Combining ease of use, workflow enhancements and artificial intelligence (AI) -enabled features, Siemens Healthineers has launched the Acuson Maple ultrasound system.
Recently cleared by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Acuson Maple ultrasound device has a variety of AI tools to mitigate repetitive tasks and streamline radiology workflows, according to Siemens Healthineers.
The company noted that the eSie Measure offers automated cardiac measurements, can facilitate up to a 44 percent reduction in keystrokes and shaves five minutes off the time it takes to complete routine echocardiography exams.
Another machine learning-based benefit is the Auto OB feature. Siemens Healthineers said this feature’s automated calculations of fetal age and weight account for a 24 percent reduction in the time it takes to perform fetal measurements on ultrasound exams.
Overall, the company noted that the battery-powered Acuson Maple system offers the capability of 75 minutes of unplugged scanning as well as 25 features for improving usability and ultrasound workflow.
