Scott & White Memorial Hospital and Scott, Sherwood and Brindley Foundation have cut an agreement with Siemens to develop their Center for Advanced Medicine, a fully integrated, all-digital healthcare facility in Temple, TX. The new facility, scheduled to open in the fall of 2005, is a 525,000-square-foot, 361-bed, eight-story inpatient facility. Siemens' technologies will also be incorporated into more than 20 other facilities operated by Scott & White across central Texas. Siemens will support Scott & White in five core areas: healthcare IT applications and infrastructure, medical equipment, telecommunications, power, and "smart" building technologies.
