An ultrasound upgrade shown by Siemens early this month at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in Philadelphia adds dynamic 3D imaging to the company's Sonoline G50 and G60S systems. The inMotion upgrade, which begins shipping this month, is composed of software and transducers that allow volumetric imaging and quantitative 3D measurements. The upgrade also offers enhanced digital clip capture solutions and connectivity features. In shared service environments, the upgrade provides enhanced imaging capability, including support for up to 394 frames per second. Options available with the inMotion upgrade include Axius Automated OB Calipers for standardized biometry measurements and DICOM modality performed procedure step.
