SmartMeds, Air2Web partner on interactive apps

SmartMeds.com, a subsidiary of Infu-Tech, has closed an agreement with Air2Web to develop applications for HMOs, physicians, and patients using Air2Web's wireless Internet platform. The companies are creating software that will enable customers using two-way wireless text messaging or Web-enabled cell phones to get health news, information, and services, including prescription refills. The firms are launching a pilot program with 1500 members of New York City-based HMO Care Plus.
