Hand-held ultrasound manufacturer SonoSite is ramping up its Asian presence. The Bothell, WA-based firm has established a subsidiary in Hong Kong and a branch office in Shanghai to provide direct sales and support for its products to the Peoples Republic of China. Introduced to the Chinese market at the SinoMed meeting in Beijing in May, the companys SonoSite 180 system will be available there in the fourth quarter.
