Japanese multimodality vendor Toshiba has named a new presidentof its Toshiba America Medical Systems subsidiary in Tustin, CA.Masamichi Katsurada replaces Kunio Sumikawa, who returns to Toshiba'sTokyo headquarters to lead the medical systems division's worldwidemarketing effort.

Katsurada has held senior positions in Toshiba's European andJapanese operations. He joined Toshiba in 1968 and most recentlywas senior manager of Toshiba's strategic planning and marketinggroup. He was head of Toshiba Medical's European operations from1990 to 1995.
