Trex Medical announced this month that it will relocate the U.S. division of its recent acquisition, Trophy Radiologie, to its Danbury, CT, headquarters. The subsidiary will be renamed TrexTrophy Dental.

Trex in April acquired Trophy, a French manufacturer of both traditional and digital dental imaging and medical x-ray systems (SCAN 1/14/98). Trophy’s U.S. division previously was based in Atlanta.

In addition to the relocation, TrexTrophy Dental will be restructured. Trex president and CEO Hal Kirshner will act as interim head of the division until a vice president and general manager for the unit are found. Robert Steinberg, formerly regional sales manager for Schick Technologies and territory manager for Benco Dental, has been hired as TrexTrophy’s director of national sales.
