Varian Associates and Toshiba have extended their CT x-ray tube

supply deal for another three years. Under the new deal, Varian's

x-ray tube plant in Salt Lake City will supply Toshiba with several

thousand tubes, with the total value of the agreement pegged at

about $90 million. The previous three-year agreement between the

companies resulted in sales of $85 million.
