Collaboration between Philips Medical Systems and Lumedx has led to the development of a comprehensive, fully integrated cardiovascular information solution. The product was introduced at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society annual meeting in Atlanta. The offering is composed of Philips' extensive line of clinical information management systems interfaced with Lumedx's Apollo Advance cardiovascular information system. The combined product provides cardiologists a broad analysis of clinical patient data, while administrators gain access to information about productivity and profitability within the cardiology department. The system allows users to share and view data that have been collected by Philips' various modality-specific applications, including its EnConcert echocardiography management system and TraceMaster electrocardiogram management system. Other integrated Philips applications include Zymed Holter and Cambridge Heart stress management. Philips plans to deliver a robust clinical information management system for catheterization labs later this year. An Apollo Advance interface to the Philips cath lab system is also being developed.
