The 10,000th Kodak Point-of-Care computed radiography system has shipped. Its developer, Carestream Health, has been targeting sales of the economically priced, tabletop CR primarily to clinics, private practices and mobile medical imaging operations. The systems are also used in military field operations, as well as in remote rural areas of developing countries, usually as part of local or regional teleradiology services.
