Access Radiology has reached a milestone in its evolution from a teleradiology-only vendor to a company that can also offer miniPACS capability (

2/98). The Natick, MA-based company has installed a long-term archive at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in Tulsa, OK.

In other Access news, the firm will be installing its Framewave Web offering at four beta sites in July. Framewave Web, previously known as DxWave, will allow clinicians to review images using a Web browser. Access is jointly developing Framewave Web with wavelet compression partner Aware (PNN 7/97).
