The Florida Division of Adventist Health System (AHS) and Agfa HealthCare have signed a multiyear, $30 million agreement to upgrade the Florida Division's film-based radiology operation to digital imaging, using Agfa's PACS and CR products. Based on a pilot study of Agfa's IMPAX and ADC systems at Florida Hospital Celebration Health, executives of Florida Division approved the launch of digital image and information management systems at more than 20 AHS facilities, including outpatient facilities and hospitals. Installations will be accomplished as part of a single infrastructure, allowing images and information to be shared across the enterprise. The agreement prioritizes 17 AHS facilities, with installation already under way at nine.
