Air Products and Chemicals, a vendor of liquid helium and nitrogen for superconducting MRI systems, has strengthened its supply relationships with GE and Siemens. Both deals were announced in November.

The Lehigh, PA, company secured a three-year extension of its long-term cryogen services pact with GE. The extension calls for Air Products to continue to supply cryogens for systems under warranty or service contract with GE through 2004. Air Products serves over 2000 GE MR customers in the U.S. and internationally.

Air Products and Siemens also rewrote their agreement to supply more Siemens MR customers in the U.S. The contract was previously limited to selected U.S. sites. The company is Siemens' global supplier of cryogenic gases and filling services for MR systems in Europe, Asia, and South America.
