Low-volume imaging facilities are the intended beneficiaries of Algotec's Web-based PACS product called ImagiNet Lite. The product, launched at SCAR, is designed for freestanding clinics, small centers, and hospitals that perform fewer than 75,000 procedures annually. With a sticker price of under $100,000, the new product is intended to appeal to smaller practices with limited budgets, according to the company. The product is based on the same software as Algotec's standard ImagiNet PACS. It is scalable to grow with an institution as imaging volume increases, and is compatible with other information systems, such as patient scheduling and radiology information systems.
