Analogic of Peabody, MA, has struck a multiyear, multimillion dollar agreement to develop and provide advanced engineering and manufacturing services to Philips Medical Systems. The agreement calls for Analogic to develop new subassemblies/components for Philips, while continuing to supply data acquisition systems, spare parts, and engineering services for the CT systems previously provided by Analogic and sold by Philips. Analogic will also continue supplying a range of patient monitoring equipment to Philips. Until Philips' acquisition of Marconi Medical last year, Analogic had been the Dutch company's sole supplier of midrange CT systems. After the Marconi purchase, however, Philips and Analogic decided to restructure the existing CT contract and develop a new agreement.
