A new digital flat-panel product will soon be released into the marketplace. The display, called Coronis, is designed for diagnostic reading. The new product, developed by Belgian company BarcoView, combines one or more high-brightness gray-scale flat-panel displays, quality assurance software, and a high-performance dual-head imaging board. Coronis features a 20.8-inch gray-scale flat panel with a resolution of 2048 x 1536. With a contrast ratio of 600:1 and high luminance, Coronis can be used in dark reading rooms as well as in ambient-light environments. The display hardware can be rotated for use in portrait and landscape modes.
