Carestream will introduce at RSNA 2011 a new portal service that allows facilities to share images and information with authorized physicians. Providers can also use the cloud-based portal to give patients access to their medical information. This is an addition to their portfolio of Vue for Cloud-Based Services that includes PACS, archiving and collaborative information sharing.
Carestream will also introduce its DRX-Revolultion Mobile X-Ray system as a works in progress. The system is expected to offer new features including a collapsible column to allow enhanced visibility and safety while moving the system. The system is not commercially available, and availability in the U.S. is contingent on FDA cleareance, the company said. The product is expected to be available worldwide in mid-2012.
The company will show new mammography features provided through third-party integrations in its breast imaging workstation. The optional applications include PenRad’s patient tracking and mammography information system and peerVue’s Qualitative Intelligence and Communication System for providers with advanced workflow needs, the company said.
