Cassling Diagnostic Imaging started the new year by appointing two new vice presidents. The Omaha company named Gary Nie as vice president of its integrated services division and Kim Erb as vice president of sales.

Nie will manage and develop CDI’s Integrated Equipment Solutions (IES) subsidiary, as well as Vision Imaging Components (VIC), a CT and x-ray tube manufacturer the company recently acquired. Previously director of equipment refurbishment for the firm, Nie worked to obtain ISO 9002 certification in IES’s refurbishment division and expanded IES from 18,000 to 40,000 square feet.

Erb will concentrate on sales operations within the company’s seven-state area of coverage and will manage CDI’s 11 account executives, two applications specialists, and its image management director. A CDI employee since 1988, Erb helped grow the company’s capital equipment sales by 80% over the last two years.
