Dicomit introduces 3-D rendering ability

Dicomit DICOM Information Technologies showcased a work-in-progress real-time, 3-D rendering technology at last month's American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine meeting. Called Live 3D ROI, the software features 3-D technology provided by ISG Technologies, and will be available as an upgrade to Dicomit's DICOM Image Manager offering. It can be used on any ultrasound scanner or as a software component for all ultrasound and PACS companies, according to the Richmond Hill, Ontario-based company. Live 3D ROI is expected to be released in the third quarter.
