The Food and Drug Administration has given 510(k) marketing clearanceto Health Images of Atlanta for its HI Star 0.6-tesla MRI scanner.HI Star will replace the company's HI Standard system as the scannerof choice for its network of 54 imaging clinics. The system willalso be marketed outside HI's network, especially in Latin Americaand Asia, according to the company.
