Hitachi Medical Systems America has rounded out its portfolio of x-ray products, thanks to an OEM deal with Trex Medical subsidiary Continental. Hitachi, of Twinsburg, OH, has received rights to sell Continental’s digital radiography/fluoroscopy and high-end radiography equipment. The Continental systems, such as its DigiSpot 2000 digital R/F unit and precision movement tomography (PMT) systems, will complement Hitachi’s high-end x-ray product, the SF-VA100 rotational angiography system. Hitachi plans to continue expanding the product lines it can offer customers, according to Sheldon Schaffer, Hitachi vice president of marketing.
