Bone densitometry firm Hologic has received regulatory clearance for its newest product, QDR-4500AAcclaim. Hologic, of Waltham, MA, introduced the dual-energy x-rayabsorptiometry (DEXA) system at last year's Radiological Societyof North America meeting (SCAN 12/28/94).

Hologic last month also released financial results for thefirst quarter of fiscal 1995 (end-December). The company posteda 33% increase in revenues, to $10.2 million, compared to $7.6million in the first quarter of 1994. Net income was $644,000for the most recent quarter, compared to $413,000 for the sameperiod last year.
