Film digitizer manufacturer Howtek of Hudson, NH, has signed an OEM agreement with Siemens Health Services for sales of Howtek's Scanmaster DX digitizer. Scanmaster DX will be offered by Siemens Health Services as a component of the company's MagicView PACS workstations, and will be sold and serviced throughout the Siemens Medical organization. Scanmaster DX is based on charge-coupled device (CCD) technology, and will give Siemens a lower cost scanner to complement the laser-based digitizers it sells through a similar OEM deal with Lumisys.
