PACS developer IDX Systems will provide Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine with a Web-based product designed to support enterprise access to diagnostic quality images, seamless integration of associated patient and exam information, and secure online storage. The agreement includes vnetix, which will streamline the process of medical imaging from patient scanning to diagnostic interpretation and reporting, online archive storage, and enterprise distribution to referring providers. The agreement also includes IDXrad, the company's Web-based radiology information system. Together, vnetix and IDXrad will provide end-to-end management of all images and information for the enterprise, which conducts more than 200,000 radiology exams each year.
