Eastman Kodak posted its financial results for the fourth quarter of 1998 (end-December) this month. The Rochester, NY, company’s Health Imaging segment reported net earnings for the quarter of $28 million, which included a $30 million after-tax charge linked to the company’s purchase of Imation’s medical imaging business (SCAN 8/19/98). Sales for the quarter were $442 million, up $46 million because of the Imation acquisition. The division’s full-year net earnings were $205 million, as compared with last year’s $213 million, and full-year sales were the same as 1997, at approximately $1.5 billion.
