Mammography vendor Instrumentarium Imaging has agreed to sell an information systems software program from PenRad Technologies. The deal will boost Instrumentarium as a provider of turnkey mammography operations, integrating data acquisition with information processing. The PenRad Information Solutions system incorporates interactive graphical screens that use a tap-not-type method to obtain patient information and produce interpretive reports, thus eliminating the need for transcription. PenRad promises to reduce turnaround time and errors.
