Berman heads group charged with strategy
Eastman Kodak's Health Imaging division is going through an organizational realignment. Most notable is the introduction of an all-new group, Growth Strategy and Business Development, which will be responsible for future division strategy and business development.
This unit, according to the company, will spearhead initiatives in new markets and technologies, serve as an incubator for nascent businesses, and oversee Kodak's Scientific Imaging Systems unit, which offers a range of products for scientific and in vitro imaging applications. Leading the group will be Dr. Phillip Berman, former general manager of the Kodak's e-Health Initiatives function.
Much of Kodak's medical imaging business will fall under Strategic Product Groups, which are now charged with the development of overall business strategies and direction, marketing, and product development for specific product and service categories. Included under this umbrella are film systems, mammography, and oncology products; computed radiography, digital radiography, digital mammography, and advanced clinical applications; laser imaging systems; PACS and RIS; dental systems; and equipment services, such as customer equipment maintenance and asset management.
