Lunar of Madison, WI, will introduce the Release 4.0A upgradepackage for the Artoscan 0.2-tesla extremity scanner manufacturedby Esaote Biomedica of Italy. The upgrade features an improveduser interface that includes enhanced remote service functions.The upgrade will also provide 2-D and 3-D multislice packagesand will allow Artoscan users to archive all their 3-D imagingdata. Lunar will also introduce fast imaging sequences, such asturbo spin-echo and turbo multi-echo.

In bone densitometry, Lunar will again display its Expert-XLdual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) scanner, introduced atlast year's meeting (SCAN 12/28/94). Lunar received 510(k) clearancefor the system earlier this year.
