Cleveland-based Marconi Medical Systems announced the promotion of Karl Wolcott to vice president and general manager of Marconi’s Picker Health Care Products business. He replaces Jerry C. Sirino, who was recently promoted to executive vice president of global sales and service for Marconi.

Wolcott began his career 14 years ago with what is now Marconi. He was previously vice president of field operations, where he managed distribution, service, technical programs, sales, and group accounts. In his new position, he will focus on developing new products and services and e-commerce.

Marconi Medical Systems is organized into three businesses: Picker Medical Imaging, which combines the company’s imaging systems, services, financing, and sales operations worldwide; Picker Information Management; a full-line provider of PACS solutions including teleradiology, centralized reading, and filmless radiology; and Picker Health Care Products, which distributes radiology equipment and other hospital supplies.
