Minneapolis-based Medtronic is spending $31 million to expand its European headquarters and production facilities in the Swiss state of Vaud. Medtronic supplies equipment for treating cardiac, vascular, neurologic, and spinal conditions.
The project brings Medtronics total investment in its Swiss facilities to $67 million. The expansion will add 200 new jobs, double Medtronics production capacity, provide a training center, and add room for administrative personnel, said Barry Wilson, Medtronics president of Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
