Hitachi plans to showcase improvements to its MRI product line at its RSNA booth (Hall A, #4319). The Twinsburg, OH, vendor will display a new high-powered computer platform for its 0.3-tesla Airis open-style MRI scanner. It will also introduce premium and economy classes of products for the open product line.

In ultrasound, Hitachi will introduce a high-end scanner, EUB-8000, which features a digital beamformer and 128-channel architecture. Hitachi will offer the system with a unique feature called dual-vector Doppler, which will allow simultaneous sampling and comparison of flow at two points on the same vessel or two different vessels. EUB-8000 will be distributed in cardiology and radiology versions.
