Flat-panel desktop display vendor NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics Display of America has established a new division to promote offerings in the medical display market. Through this division, the company will add the NEC MultiSync MD Series to its current line of "80" Series monitors for medical office information systems. Available in spring 2004, the new NEC MultiSync MD monitor will feature a 21.3-inch color 2-megapixel display. This will be followed in summer 2004 by a 21.3-inch gray-scale 3-megapixel display, and soon after by a 21.3-inch color 3-megapixel display.
