National Healthcare Distributors (NHD) has signed a two-year contract with Concentra Managed Care of Boston. Under the contract, NHD will provide medical imaging supply distribution, service for film processors and x-ray equipment, and accessory products such as film and film filing supplies to Concentras 215 facilities across the U.S. NHD expects the contract to generate $2.5 million in business.
The deal is part of Beechwood, OH-based NHDs ongoing effort to forge alliances in the industry, and comes close on the heels of agreements signed with Eastman Kodaks Health Imaging division last September. Those agreements allow NHDs authorized Kodak distribution outlets to sell DryView laser imaging systems and name Kodak as NHDs primary source for x-ray processing chemicals (SCAN 9/29/99). NHD consists of 23 large imaging distributors, and was formed to procure some of the emerging national accounts business from large healthcare customers.
