NHD, Diagnostic Imaging, and Marconi Medical Systems have joined in a national distribution agreement with Novation, the supply company of VHA and the University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC).
The three-year agreement, which covers radiology supplies and services, takes effect April 1. It may be extended for up to two additional years. Novation is the largest supply cost management company in healthcare, managing more than $15 billion in annual purchases for 2100 VHA and UHC members. Some 5300 other organizations can purchase supplies under Novation's agreements.
The newest agreement includes distribution of conventional analog and dry diagnostic imaging film, barium, and other medical imaging supplies, accessories, and services. NHD is owned by 25 large regional distributors of medical imaging supplies that work collaboratively to negotiate and manage national account contract business. Diagnostic Imaging offers a range of products from consumables to imaging hardware. Marconi, through its Health Care Products division, distributes more than 22,000 medical imaging supplies and accessories.
