C-arm developer OEC Medical Systems of Salt Lake City reported last month that the Indiana Supreme Court has denied the company its petition for appeal of a suit brought by a terminated distributor in 1988. The final judgment is $4.9 million, including interest, and the court's decision ends the litigation. Since OEC established a reserve in 1992 to cover the judgment, its operating costs will not be affected, according to the company. OEC executives declined to comment on the basis of the suit.
